Our philosophy: In order for the physical body to function properly, each of the three pillars of physical health must perform optimally.

Neurological Health · Structural Health · Metabolic Health

This concept is easy to understand if we compare the human body to a car. Just as a car relies on the
precision of its engine, the stability of its frame, and the quality of its fuel to operate properly, the
human body depends on a well-connected nervous system, properly aligned structure, and quality
nutrition to function optimally. A problem in any single area will result in a car or body that does not
work the way it should. Each component is critical and no one thing can be ignored.

Nervous System - The Body’s Engine

The engine serves as the power source of a car, converting gasoline into energy to propel it forward. In the human body, the brain converts calories into energy which it uses to direct and coordinate each and every bodily function through electrical impulses and chemical signals. The nervous system is the conductor and powerhouse of the body as an engine is in a car.

Muscles, Bones, and Joints - The Body’s Structure

The structure of a car provides the framework and support necessary for its operation.
Similarly, the human body's structure, composed of muscles, bones, and joints, forms the foundation for movement, strength, and stability. Just as a properly aligned and stable car frame ensures durability and proper performance, a sturdy and well-aligned body structure promotes strength, resilience, and optimal physical performance.

Nutrition - The Body’s Fuel

Proper fuel is essential to power a car's engine. Similarly, proper nutrition is essential to power the
human body. Nutrients and calories are converted into energy through metabolism, which fuels cellular activities, maintains organ function, and supports overall health and well-being. Just as low-grade gasoline negatively affects a car’s performance, inferior nutrition negatively affects the body’s ability to heal and thrive.

A Comprehensive Solution

Just as dysfunction in any one part of a car will affect its overall performance, dysfunction in any
single pillar of physical health will affect the overall health of the body.

That’s why we here at Atlas Chiropractic & Wellness assess the health of the nervous system, the alignment of the musculoskeletal system (structure), and the quality of nutrition in each patient that comes under our care. Only by having a good understanding of a patient’s overall health status can we begin to craft a plan to address the areas of concern. We work with our patients to develop a strategy to help them regain their health and reach their goals.
